Reporting to the Manager, Business Intelligence & Reporting, as a Business Analyst you will develop Python and SQL programs to find innovative solutions and extract data using various tools and technologies. You will work closely with the business to understand objectives and propose different solutions. Responsibilities Apply an understanding of respective business strategies to produce relevant and substantial data extractions to support business goals and objectives. Analyze requirements, questions and recommend best ad hoc and reporting solutions. Execute on data requests accurately and within a timely manner. Prioritize work based on emergencies and business impacts. Research, investigate, solve problems and answer business queries. Work autonomously, oversee and develop end‑to‑end data solutions from gathering requirements from different stakeholders. Extract and transform data from Azure/Databricks. Develop knowledge and understanding of tables and their relationships within different layers of Azure architecture and external data sources. Promote innovation and maintain high‑quality technical standards and best practices. Optimize existing manual reports for increased efficiency through reduced manual effort. Create complex and comprehensive Business Intelligence reporting packages and dashboards using the newest technologies and support ongoing activities. Foster collaboration among colleagues and empower our workforce with expertise sharing and continuous learning. Test and validate the quality and integrity of the data. Apply Governance and Control requirements. Communicate using common business language with colleagues from various departments. Build positive and productive working partnerships by maintaining good relationships across the organization. The Business Intelligence group analyzes data to develop crucial metrics and reporting functionality that informs and optimizes key business decisions across the organization. Qualifications Graduate or undergraduate degree in Data Analytics, Business, Computer Science, or a relevant field. Minimum of 2 years of experience with programming languages such as SQL and Python. Experience with BI tools like Posit, Tableau, Power BI, etc. Experience with big data tools, such as Azure/Databricks. Motivated to constantly strive to find innovative ways to enhance existing manual reporting. Ability to transform by challenging the status quo and think outside the box. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work based on multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Strong research capabilities to find needed data. Confident in developing reports across various platforms using the newest technologies. Robust collaboration and analytical skills with a deep understanding of performance metrics. High attention to detail while managing data and information. Superb problem‑solving, communication and interpersonal skills. Strong customer orientation and a professional approach with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization. Self‑motivated, quick learner, team player with high energy and ability to work independently. Experience working effectively in teams. Knowledge of products and of the General Insurance market is an asset.
