Do you share our passion?Let’s create a healthier future, togetherOur team and what we’ll accomplish togetherPosition detailsUnder the direction of a Radiologist, the Ultrasound Technologist will perform a variety of ultrasound examinations (abdominal, pelvic, thyroid and superficial soft tissue mass) while observing patient safety practices. You will also liaise with other clinic staff, physicians and administrators to ensure effective delivery of our services. This is a part time position and hours will vary depending on the clinic’s needs.What you’ll doReceive and complete requisitions, enter patient data into the diagnostic imaging information system and prepare patients for specific proceduresGather and verify patient history and relevant information prior to beginning scanPerform ultrasound procedures in accordance with regulatory body guidelines and TELUS’ policiesEnsure all necessary documentation is accurately completed for each scanMaintain current knowledge and understanding of PACSMaintain equipment and ensure a clean, organized and safe workspaceComply with patient safety and confidentiality policiesPerform related clerical and administrative duties as necessaryQualificationsWhat you bring:Completion of a recognized post-diploma sonography program, or equivalentCurrent Sonography Canada registration in good standing - RequiredCRGSPrevious experience as a general sonographer, largely transabdominal pelvic and abdominal scansCPR and WHMIS certification(s) considered an assetPrevious experience with PACS and GE ultrasound equipment is beneficialAbility to work independently with minimal supervision and as a member of a dynamic teamCommitment to providing high quality patient care and customer service is essentialStrong organizational and problem solving skillsComfortable working in a fast paced environment and ability to work well under pressureSalary Range: $60,647 - $112,630Application and complianceBy applying to this role, you understand and agree that your information will be shared with the TELUS Group of Companies’ Talent Acquisition team(s) and/or any leader(s) who will be part of the selection process.#LI-Onsite#INDTHPerformance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 0%Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance, experience and location.
