About the DepartmentThe TD Equipment Finance (TDEF) team is a centre of excellence within TD Specialized Commercial Banking, responsible for structuring equipment financing (leases and loans) for business clients and prospects as an alternative to conventional bank financing. Job DescriptionThe Account Executive is responsible for:Leading a go‑to‑market strategy to develop an assigned database, prospect new relationships, and maximize lead generation.Achieving stretch objectives within the assigned territory.Negotiating and structuring equipment finance and leasing transactions that meet client and TDEF requirements.Managing originated transactions from quote to funding, including credit submission, documentation, and funding.Understanding TDEF’s value proposition by industry segment and customer profile.Maintaining the existing portfolio and providing customer service that meets expectations, while assisting the risk team with distressed accounts.Applying financial acumen to read and analyze financial statements and structure value‑added deals within reasonable risk tolerances and appropriate return.Collaborating with credit, Capital Markets, and legal teams throughout transaction stages. RequirementsBachelor's degree in Commerce/Business.4+ years of sales development and/or customer relationship management experience.Proven ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative, team‑iven environment.Superior business development skills.Initiative and ability to build relationships.Commitment to customer‑centric service that maximizes retention and growth.Current knowledge of equipment finance and leasing industry.Excellent analytical skills and in‑depth knowledge of financing and accounting.Exceptional administrative organization.Bilingual French/English (Quebec only). Preferred Skills4+ years of related experience in the financial industry or equipment financing.Credentials such as CFA, CA, CMA, or MBA – Finance Program.Knowledge of financial accounting and taxation.
