We are currently looking for a motivated, autonomous, and team-oriented individual to join our operations team in Clairmont, Alberta as a Warehouse / Bulk Plant Operator

As a Warehouse / Bulk Plant Operator in our Clairmont facility, you will be responsible for:

  1. Receiving and shipping various commodities into and out of our warehouse for Energy and Industrial customers.
  2. Receiving chemicals, including dangerous goods from railcars and transferring bulk chemicals to customers by loading bulk trucks.
  3. Learning about Health, Safety, and Environment and Responsible Distribution.

Responsibilities

Some of the responsibilities of the Warehouse / Bulk Plant Operator include:

  1. Heating Plant boiler operation and maintenance as required.
  2. Bulk liquid railcar unloading, including dangerous goods.
  3. Loading bulk liquid chemicals into bulk trucks.
  4. Receiving, storage, shipping of items as defined by our policies, procedures, and processes.
  5. Inputting orders and arranging freight for customers, when required.
  6. Assisting with safety programs in the warehouse (TDG, WHMIS, ISO, Responsible Distribution, etc.).
  7. Assisting with general up-keep of building and warehouse equipment including lift-trucks, scales, etc.
  8. Participation in related training as required.
  9. Operating forklift truck with proper certification.
  10. Processing paperwork (warehouse release, bill of lading, certificates of analysis, and cover sheet).
  11. Reviewing daily shipment edit list to ensure orders are being handled to meet customer needs and expectations.
  12. Conducting physical inventory counts, ensuring accurate inventory (quantity/lots/locations).
  13. Printing warehouse release requests, bills of lading, and certificates of analysis.
  14. Regular communication with Logistics, Customer Service, and Procurement functions to ensure we are meeting customer and operational requirements.
Requirements and Skills

What are the requirements and skills needed for this role?:

  1. 5th Class Power Engineering Certificate.
  2. Experience in bulk liquid transloading is an asset.
  3. Ability to work a rotating shift schedule with on-call time.
  4. Completed high-school diploma or completed equivalencies.
  5. Good general physical condition; ability to lift and work outside.
  6. Team spirit, motivation, and ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
  7. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and solve different issues.
  8. You MUST be able to wear full face respirator PPE (fit test will be provided).
  9. Experience with WHMIS / TDG (would be an asset).
  10. Forklift cards and experience operating a forklift (would be an asset).
