Electrical & Controls Engineer or Technologist

K Factor Filter is seeking a full-time Electrical Control Engineer/Technologist to work on-site in Hamilton, ON. This role involves supervising and providing technical expertise in the installation, repair, and maintenance of our fully automated and self-cleaning industrial liquid filtration systems. You will also be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, modifying, and programming control systems, as well as undertaking extensive testing measures to ensure that the systems operate optimally.PLC/HMI programming
Electrical design, including the updating of electrical drawings Prepare technical specifications for instrumentation and control systems Produce documentation for equipment operation, maintenance, vendor equipment, and training Develop controls schematics, PLC, HMI, and drive system programming Analyze customer needs and determine electrical system requirements, capacity, and cost Inspect electronic equipment, instruments, and systems to ensure they meet safety standards and applicable regulations Develop testing and maintenance procedures for electronic equipment and systems Work with project managers on production efforts to ensure that projects are completed satisfactorily, on time, and within budget Occasional travel to support on-site field service activities Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment motor controls, safety sensors, and relays A recognized degree in electrical engineering or an electrical technologist certification with suitable experience At least 6 years of experience with PLC controls, with Allen Bradley Logix PLC controls and SIEMENS S7 Programming platforms being desirable Experience with full lifecycle project experience: from controls hardware design to PLC programming and commissioning projects Familiarity with automated systems and process control Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office programs High level of effective written and verbal communication skills (English)-
