Project/Design Engineer, Municipal Engineering & Land Development Join to apply for the Project/Design Engineer, Municipal Engineering & Land Development role at WSP in Canada The Opportunity WSP is currently seeking a motivated Project/Design Engineer to join our Municipal and Infrastructure team in the Lower Mainland. The position is based in Langley or Vancouver, BC, and reports to the Infrastructure Manager. Your work will involve leading land development projects for residential and commercial purposes, major municipal water, wastewater, drainage, and roadway infrastructure projects, including planning, design, and construction services. Prepare preliminary and detailed design for civil roadworks, water supply systems, sanitary sewers, stormwater systems, and stormwater management. Provide construction services including site field reviews, reporting, and MMCD contract administration. Attend meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors. Manage client relationships. Develop proposals. Perform other duties as assigned. What you’ll bring to WSP Undergraduate degree in civil engineering from an accredited university (preferred). Professional Engineer or eligibility for registration in EGBC (required). Minimum of 3+ years of experience in the engineering and design of municipal infrastructure and land development projects, including water, wastewater, drainage, and land development. Progressive experience in design, project management, and construction. Experience with construction contract administration. Experience with all levels of municipal government, construction contractors, and developers. Knowledge of Lower Mainland land development markets with established local client relationships (asset). Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and municipal infrastructure modelling software (asset). MMCD Contract Administration accreditation (asset). Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal). High attention to detail, highly motivated and enthusiastic team player. Ability to work independently. Compensation Salary range in British Columbia: $71,500 – $98,300. The final salary awarded may vary based on education, experience, and business needs.
