ACCOUNTING COORDINATOR Our ideal candidate is a self‑motivated team player with good communication skills and would be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: Support the Finance Department by preparing and maintaining financial documentation and records with meticulous attention. Reconcile accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial policies and procedures. Assist in the preparation and review of budgets, financial statements, and reports to support strategic planning and decision‑making. Process invoices, payments, and transactions, ensuring timely and accurate entries into the financial system. Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to resolve discrepancies efficiently and effectively. Ensure compliance with applicable finance legislation and regulations by staying abreast of current industry standards. Participate in audits and support financial analysis by preparing required documentation and reports. Contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives within the Finance Department, enhancing productivity and efficiency. Ensure personal and associate understanding of all quality and business‑related operating systems (ISO/IATF). Knowledge of the Customs‑Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) initiatives is an asset. Qualifications, Education and Skills We're Looking For Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are advantageous. A combination of education, training, and years working experience will be considered. Minimum of 2‑3 years of experience in an accounting or financial role within a dynamic environment. Thorough understanding of accounting principles and practices, coupled with robust analytical skills. Experience with accounting software and financial systems, proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must. Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment. Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
