Join us for the Emergency Room Physicians (2) role at Northumberland Hills Hospital.We are a medium-sized (close to 40,000 visits per year) ED with a robust community and multidisciplinary supports that is committed to providing high quality, compassionate care through our “People First” philosophy.We have several services that support our Emergency Department including on-site Intensivists, Hospitalists, Obstetricians, Anesthesiologists, General Surgeons, and Radiologists with on-site CT and MRI.Licensing RequirementsLicensed with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (or eligibility for licensure in the Province of Ontario)CCFP(EM), FRCP(EM), CCFP with emergency medicine experience or recent graduates with strong Emergency Medicine training and focusMust hold current ACLS, ATLS and PALS CertificationSkill RequirementsMust possess strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills and proven ability to work effectively with all department/team disciplines.Full spectrum of high acuity clinical medicine, trauma and cardiac care skill set requiredEvidence of continued medical education commitment to Emergency MedicineWilling to work 4 shifts/month with at least one weekend as well as the ability to provide excellent quality of care during hours of solo coverageNHH is affiliated with Queen’s University and is an educational site for the CCFP (EM) residents and the Queen’s CCFP Department of Family Medicine Residency Program.The preferred candidates would be expected to participate in teaching medical students and postgraduate medical trainees.Remuneration/Benefits Package Being OfferedRemuneration is based on an ED Alternative Funding Agreement (AFA) with the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-term Care (MOHLTC).To apply, please submit your CV and cover letter to gcrawford@nhh.ca in Medical Affairs or Dr. Pavel Ketov, Emergency Services Department Chief at pketov@nhh.caNorthumberland Hills Hospital is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates. #J-18808-Ljbffr
