Radiology (Diagnostic Imaging), Assistant or Associate Professor (Teaching) Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Calgary We are inviting applications for academic scholars in Radiology (Diagnostic Imaging). One or two full‑time positions are available in the teaching stream, with an anticipated start date of March 1, 2026 (or a mutually agreed date). Position Details Rank: Assistant Professor (tenure‑track) or Associate Professor (with tenure). Location: Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Calgary. Requirements: DVM (or equivalent) and licensure in the Province of Alberta. Board certification DACVR and/or Dipl. ECVR preferred; board‑eligible ACVR or ECVR residency‑trained candidates will be considered. An additional graduate degree is a competitive asset. Teaching responsibilities include didactic sessions, clinical and professional skills laboratories, and 4th‑year rotation teaching in the DVM program. Clinical duties such as student rotation teaching will take place in partner specialty practices and other practice settings. Teaching and Scholarship Expectations Assistant Professor (Teaching) – Evidence or promise of teaching effectiveness or competency, reflective practice, and integration of scholarly approaches to teaching. Participation in research and scholarship to maintain currency in pedagogy is required. Associate Professor (Teaching) – Demonstrated teaching effectiveness, application of scholarly approaches to learning, design of student learning experiences and assessment strategies, continuous development of innovative teaching that supports student learning, and creation of respectful and inclusive learning environments. Teaching will comprise a significant component of the expected distribution of effort. Application Process Submit an online application through the ‘Apply Now’ link.
