We are seeking a motivated Engineer in Training (EIT) to join our dynamic team. As an EIT, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills under the guidance of seasoned professionals in the field. You will play a vital role in various aspects of Technica contracting operations as well as study works, from proposal and planning to design and production management. This position offers a unique chance to contribute to innovative projects while advancing your career in a challenging yet supportive environment. The key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist Engineering Leads with quality reviews and mine designs using engineering software
  • Develop and communicate detailed mine plans, material balances, equipment strategies, haulage simulations and schedules in support of life of project plans
  • Work with engineering and project teams to perform trade off and optimization studies
  • Prepare technical documentation and reports in area of technical discipline
  • Facilitating the bidding process from initiation to submission, including detailed forecasts
  • Assemble detailed material take-offs and cost estimates
  • Reviewing and interpreting scopes of work; analyzing drawings, engineering specifications and associated tender documentation; preparing detailed cost estimates, proposal documents, etc. as directed
  • Reviewing and understanding prints, construction drawings, and project specifications
  • Tracking, analyzing and conducting audits of previous, current, and completed projects to compile key performance metrics
REQUIREMENTS
  • Post-secondary education in Mining Engineering is required
  • Experience in project management and exposure to the mining industry is considered an asset
  • Experience in Autocad and Deswick is considered an asset
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • High level of self motivation and autonomy, as well as, ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Willing to work extended hours and able to travel to various mine sites throughout Ontario as required
  • High Level knowledge of Microsoft Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, Project and Adobe.
