At Sener, we value technical expertise, collaborative spirit, exemplary conduct, and a commitment to continuous improvement.We have a key role open for a Senior Roadways Lead design engineer to join us at our Los Angeles office.Role DescriptionWe are seeking a Roadways Geometry Design Engineer for a full-time, hybrid position based in Los Angeles, CA. The successful candidate will lead and support the geometric design of roadway infrastructure projects, including highways, arterials, and interchanges. Work will be performed primarily using Bentley’s InRoads and OpenRoads platforms. This position offers a mix of in-office collaboration and remote work flexibility.ResponsibilitiesLead and support roadway geometry design tasks for transportation projects at all stages, from conceptual design through final designDevelop horizontal and vertical alignments, profiles, and 3D corridor models using Bentley InRoads and OpenRoadsEnsure designs comply with applicable standards (AASHTO, FHWA, and state DOT guidelines)Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including drainage, structures, utilities, and environmental specialistsParticipate in design reviews, value engineering sessions, and quality control processesPrepare technical reports, design documentation, and construction plan setsMentor junior engineers and review their work to support team developmentContribute to proposals, client presentations, and business development efforts as neededQualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field8 to 10 years of relevant experience in roadway geometric design, preferably in the Los Angeles areaProven expertise in Bentley’s InRoads and OpenRoads Designer platformsStrong understanding of US roadway design standards (AASHTO Green Book, state DOT manuals, MUTCD)Experience with CAD production and digital delivery workflows (MicroStation, ProjectWise, etc.)Strong technical writing, communication, and problem-solving skillsPE license preferred (or ability to obtain in the near term)What we offerOpportunity to work on high-impact transportation and infrastructure projects in the US and internationallyA collaborative, multidisciplinary, and supportive team environmentHybrid work model with flexible hours to promote work-life balanceCompetitive compensation and comprehensive benefits including healthcare and 401(k)Ongoing professional development opportunities including technical training, certifications, and soft skills developmentA diverse and inclusive workplace certified as a Family Responsible Entity, promoting equal opportunities and long-term career growthSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionEngineering and Information TechnologyIndustriesProfessional Services #J-18808-Ljbffr
