About the Role The Agile Delivery Manager at Neon One leads and manages a team of talented Scrum Masters, driving the adoption and maturity of Agile practices to ensure predictable, high‑quality delivery. This role balances people management, practice leadership, and tactical execution to ensure both team and departmental success. The Agile Delivery Manager works collaboratively with other functional managers and stakeholders to align agile delivery practices with business objectives and supports the team in resolving complex impediments, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, and fostering professional growth. The expectation is that this person will divide their time between management and operating as a hands‑on Scrum Master for one to two teams, with the percentage of time spent in each area dependent on the number of direct reports. Key Responsibilities Coaching and Managing: Provide hands‑on coaching to multiple software development teams in all aspects of Agile, including Scrum, Kanban, and other lean‑agile practices. Manage a team of Scrum Masters and aid in their goal setting and development. Coach leaders and managers in the behaviors and mindset shifts required to support successful Agile teams. Team Facilitation & Delivery (as Scrum Master): Act as the dedicated Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager for one to two teams, guiding them to successfully deliver value. Facilitate all Scrum events, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives, ensuring they are positive, productive, and achieve their objectives. Actively identify and remove impediments that are blocking the team's progress. Partner closely with the Product Owner to ensure a healthy and well‑managed product backlog. Training and Facilitation: Develop and deliver engaging training workshops and materials for teams and stakeholders on Agile fundamentals, advanced topics, and role‑specific skills. Facilitate key collaborative events such as release planning, story mapping workshops, and value stream mapping sessions. Agile Transformation and Improvement: Conduct assessments of team and departmental Agile maturity, creating a roadmap for improvement and executing on that roadmap. Identify, escalate, and help resolve systemic impediments that are beyond a single team's ability to influence. Partner with leadership to shape and promote an environment that enables Agile teams to thrive. Metrics and Continuous Improvement: Guide teams on the use of meaningful Agile metrics (e.g., Cycle Time, Throughput, Flow Efficiency) to drive data‑informed decisions and self‑correction. Promote a culture of relentless improvement by encouraging experimentation and learning from both successes and failures. Must‑Haves 5+ years in software development environments, including SaaS. 3+ years as an Agile Coach or 5+ years as a multi‑team Scrum Master. Proven experience managing Scrum Masters. Demonstrated success as a hands‑on Scrum Master for multiple teams. Deep knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, Lean). Builder mindset and eagerness to create scalable Agile processes. Strong facilitation and coaching skills across multiple team levels. One or more certifications: CSP‑SM, PSM II/III, ICP‑ACC. Passion for nonprofit technology and mission‑driven work. Great‑to‑Haves Experience with scaled Agile (SAFe, LeSS, Nexus). Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, or TDD. Advanced Agile coaching credentials (ICE‑AC, CEC).
