Manager, Stewardship & Events Location: Toronto, ON | Job ID: 10396914 | Date Posted: November 5, 2025 | Closing Date: November 19, 2025 | Compensation: $70,663 – $84,600 annually (prorated) | Work Type: Hybrid | Employment Type: Full‑time | Seniority Level: Mid‑Senior Job Summary Reporting to the VP of Development & Communications, the Manager develops and implements stewardship and event strategies to strengthen relationships with transformational major donors, foundations, corporate partners and community members, while cultivating new prospects. What You Will Do Stewardship, Cultivation & Community Events Collaborate with VP, Development & Communications to develop stewardship, cultivation and event strategy. Oversee and implement the event strategy, including logistics, venue selection, catering, entertainment, and marketing. Engage members of the Board, CEO, senior leadership and relationship managers to identify donors and prospects for events. Recruit, train, and manage event volunteers and maintain a multi‑year event calendar. Track event revenue, expenses, and deliver regular reports. Maintain contracts and evaluate event results to improve future events and donor engagement. Stewardship Develop and implement an industry‑best stewardship program and recognition plans. Create tailored stewardship plans for transformational, major, foundation and corporate donors, documenting activities and touchpoints in the CRM. Produce stewardship materials such as impact reports, presentation decks and personalized emails. Ensure stewardship plans, recognition benefits and impact reporting are communicated to internal stakeholders and documented for implementation. Manage major gift, foundation, donor and sponsorship agreements and donor recognition lists, including online recognition. Contribute to policy review and adherence to LOFT’s gift acceptance and naming policies. Work collaboratively with the team to develop stewardship events. What You Bring Must Haves Post‑secondary education in development, event planning or equivalent professional experience. Five or more years of experience in development, stewardship or event planning. A certificate in fundraising or working toward one. Hybrid work model experience; ability to walk, sit for extended periods, use office equipment, lift up to 25 pounds. Work Environment Hybrid model; walks and sits for extended periods, occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
