About the RoleGrade Level (for internal use): 11S&P Global Market IntelligenceLead Site Reliability EngineerThe TeamThe Cloud Engineering team at S&P Global is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the cloud infrastructure that supports our business operations. The team works closely with development, testing, and product groups to understand their requirements and deliver scalable, reliable cloud solutions, along with TechOps support.The team leverages cloud technologies, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure DevOps, and GitHub, to enable the development and deployment of the application. They ensure the security, availability, and performance of our cloud-based systems.Responsibilities and ImpactDevelop monitoring solutions to provide complete system coverageStrategically plan and organize team deliverablesPractice and document disaster recovery scenariosStreamline our software build and release pipelineEngage in post-incident reviews to learn from failures and solve the root causeAble to be available for incident escalationsBasic Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.+10 years of relevant experience in related roles.AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certificationExpertise in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and PowerShellAdvanced experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, including Terraform and CloudFormationStrong time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlinesExcellent troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and resolve complex issues efficientlyClear and effective communication skills, especially when explaining complex technical conceptsProven leadership experience with the ability to guide and mentor a team of engineersAdditional Preferred QualificationsExperience with networking concepts and protocolsMastery of both Windows and Linux operating systems at scaleExpert with CI/CD tools: Azure DevOps or GitHub ActionsLocation: Calgary or Toronto (hybrid 2 days onsite)Right to work requirements: This role is open only for candidates with indefinite right to work within Canada.About S&P Global Market IntelligenceAt S&P Global Market Intelligence, a division of S&P Global we understand the importance of accurate, deep and insightful information.
