We work hard, get things done, and have fun doing it.If you’re someone who thrives in a collaborative, hands-on environment and wants to contribute to building cool products that matter, this could be the role for you.About the RoleAs a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in improving how we build our cutting-edge underwater robotics systems. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you’ll collaborate with product design teams, help streamline production, and create tools and processes to make our manufacturing operations more efficient, safe, and scalable.This is a fully onsite position at our Deep Trekker headquarters, where you’ll work closely with production, design, and operations teams in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.What You’ll DoCollaborate with the R&D team to develop the processes, tooling, and methods needed to bring new products and technologies into productionBe hands-on during prototype and pilot builds to identify and solve manufacturing challengesProvide practical feedback to balance design performance with manufacturability and costDevelop and document standardized work instructions for production teamsLead process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product qualitySupport training and onboarding of production staff on new processes and toolsLead or assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issuesTake ownership of problems and be a resource the team can count on as we move from concept to productionWho You AreDegree or diploma in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or process engineering role (co-op experience counts)Proficient in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)Thrives in situations with limited direction, collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring structure and solutions to ambiguous challenges.Hands-on, problem solver who enjoys troubleshooting on the shop floorFamiliar with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologiesComfortable with ERP systems and production documentation (asset, but not required)Excellent communicator who can work cross-functionally and build great relationshipsPassionate about working on meaningful technology with a team that values innovation and collaborationWhat We OfferWork on innovative underwater ROVs and robotics platforms that are deployed globallyDynamic, hands-on work environment where your ideas make an impactRRSP matching program (5%)Health, dental, and vision coverageOpportunities for career developmentA supportive and fun team culture where we celebrate wins and learn from challengesDeep Trekker is an equal-opportunity employer, and we encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds and identities.
