Document Control Specialist – Bird Construction Join to apply for the Document Control Specialist role at Bird Construction. This position will be located in the GTA. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Document Control Specialist is part of a high-performing project team dedicated to delivering a major transit project. The role focuses on supporting document control processes, ensuring accurate organization and tracking of project documentation, assisting in the distribution of documents, maintaining filing systems, and ensuring compliance with project standards. What You'll Be Working On Assist in the development and implementation of Document Management framework to ensure compliance with the Governance system framework. Ensure project documentation is received, tracked and monitored according to Document Management Plan. Perform Quality and Compliance checks on documentation. Collaborate in system improvements and rollouts. Provide support and training to Project team on document management. Support with audits to ensure document management processes are well implemented and ensure data integrity. Undertake reporting as required. Onboard Project team and subcontractor to document management system. Ensure Client and other stakeholders are onboarded to the document management system and supported through the lifecycle of the project. What We're Looking For 2-3 years of Document Control experience and education in a related field. Understanding of Engineering and Construction activities with respect to document management would be an asset. Experience in all areas of document control including issue, creation, retrieval, retention and turnover would be an asset. Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Assisting with the creation of Document Management Plans and Process Maps. Experience with Aconex and MS Office Suite – Procore would be an asset.
