Gananoque is a smaller community, within a 20-minute drive of Kingston, Ontario. Our team has a diverse staff with years of experience working with animals. We have both seasoned and new veterinary staff, and love opportunities to mentor and develop new entrants to the industry. Our practice has larger rooms that help us to offer mentorship opportunities.NVA Canada’s VT Practicum Program offers final-year veterinary technician students the chance to gain real-world experience in a supportive, dynamic environment. Work alongside experienced veterinarians and RVTs to develop your clinical skills in patient care, laboratory procedures, anesthesia, surgical assistance, radiology, and more. Enhance your communication abilities with medical teams and clients, preparing you for a successful career as an RVT. Practicums range from two to eight weeks, fitting your schedule and career goals. Eligible students—those enrolled in an accredited VT program in Canada and completing their final practicum in their final year—can receive a stipend to help with travel expenses, allowing you to focus on learning without financial worries.Diversity and Inclusion: At NVA Canada, diversity and inclusion are an important part of our everyday reality.
