We are currently seeking a Risk Manager to join our Risk Management Canada team. Hybrid work model is a given, and base location could be anywhere in Canada. The role would include facilitation, delivery & report of project risk assessments using Monte Carlo simulation software (in‑house we have Safran, @Risk, ARM, and externally on of our key clients has OPRA). This role will be based in Toronto, ON. Your role within the team : Manage client project team relationships to continue project risk management support. Work with client project teams to gain understanding of projects, interrogate client issued documentation (scope, schedule, estimate). Facilitate risk workshops, ensuring suitable records are kept of discussions. Be able to interrogate MS Project and P6 to recreate a high‑level schedule for modelling purposes. Be able to interrogate cost information (usually excel) to classify project costs in terms of client, design, contractor costs, and extract contingency. Understand AACE classes and the implications of each. Input and run schedule modelling software - Safran preferred. Be able to use @Risk to generate cost model information, creation of modelling for various scenarios. Manage creation of slide decks, executive summaries, and full reports for each project – using standard templates, create draft text. QA checks of all documentation prior to issue to client. Manage multiple project workloads concurrently, able to prioritize work. Workshops may be virtual or travel to client required location. Travel requirements (if any) not expected to be more than once a month. Develop and update internal risk management training materials. Support internal project risk management and provide advice for best approach strategies for projects and proposals. Draft Risk content for RFPs. Maintain & regularly update internal processes, procedures and work instructions to ensure consistent business approach and alignment with corporate strategy. The ideal candidate : University Degree in Engineering or Construction or equivalent. Minimum of 15 years in Design / Construction environment. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in risk modelling. Proficient with Risk modelling software - @Risk is essential. Proficient with risk software is desired – Safran, PRC, ARM. Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project). Proficient with Primavera P6 – creation of projects from scratch is essential. Detail‑orientated. Problem solver. Ability to perform in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to balance and prioritize workloads. Nuclear security clearance will be obtained after recruitment, so a full traceable work history is essential. Fluent English‑speaking essential. French speaking desired.
