As a core member of our Fund Accounting – Hedge Funds team, you will be working with some of the industry’s most accomplished professionals to deliver award-winning services for complex fund structures that our clients can depend upon.ResponsibilitiesYou will oversee and prepare financial reports and profit allocation statements, including calculation of “net asset value”, in accordance with client deadlines.Act as a liaison with the client on matters relating to the preparation of the monthly reporting packageEnsure timely and accurate response to client inquiriesAssist staff with their monthly work as the need arisesAct as a liaison with external partiesEnsure adherence to all internal and external standard procedures and best practicesAssist with new client on-boarding and new fund launches to ensure successful completionReview administrative/accounting procedures and recommend solutions in order to work towards a more efficient NAV production processFacilitate compliance with internal reporting requirementsParticipate in strategic departmental and corporate initiativesAssist with ad hoc projectsQualificationsAbout You:You have an accounting/finance background with relevant experience as evidenced by:A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or EconomicsDemonstrated 5+ years of work experience at hedge fund accounting or investment companies fund accounting with derivative instruments and external investorsNearly qualified or completed CA, CMA, CGA, CPA or CFA designation (preferred – not a must have)Strong working understanding of investment strategies and financial products (including derivatives)Been in a reviewer capacity of deliverables and managing delivery for the teamExperience managing a team of 5+ people as their manager, supervisor, mentor, coach, etc.Able to demonstrate that you are comfortable working in an operations model where you have to coordinate and work with various teamsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated financial reporting, analytical and organizational skillsStrong Office and Outlook skill set (especially Excel)Proven ability to work in a challenging and professional work environmentBenefitsYour well-being is of paramount importance to us, and central to our success.
