This position is hands on in design and execution of testing activities, following QA methodology and best practices on projects to ensure quality of delivery, providing a means of monitoring the integration processes and methods used to ensure quality.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement testing plans for products
• Identify procedures and scenarios for the quality control of products and services
• Process product reviews and inform the development team of defects and errors
• Communicate quantitative and qualitative findings from test results to the development team
• Monitor efforts to resolve product issues and track progress
• Ensure that the final product satisfies the product requirements and meet end-user expectations
• Spot areas for improvement to enhance the product’s efficiency
• Research the current market for similar products and compare results
• Coordinate the functional testing with the vertical teams
• Coordinate testing between the various teams including
o API and integration
o End to end testing and UAT
o Volume testing and performance
o Automated testing and scripts
• Ensure that proper standards and procedures are well documented
o Test plan
o Test steps and issue log
o Escalations on defect

Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud based portals
  • Experience translating requirements into suitable test cases in JIRA 
  • Past experience with VMware (an asset)
  • Worked with automated tools including Selenium
  • Extensive experience in quality control
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Creative and innovative thinker
  • Diligent and meticulous

This is a minimum 6 month contract remote based role.
