We seek professionals who are passionate about achieving excellence in health, healing, and learning through collaboration and innovation.About the OpportunityReporting to the Manager, Interprofessional Practice and Learning, Western Zone, the Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) will assess, implement, plan, evaluate, and support the application of existing and new clinical knowledge to translate knowledge to practice. The CNE demonstrates competency in practice, program design and implementation, monitoring and evaluation of education, leadership, and professional practice, and aligns with the Interprofessional Practice and Learning Framework to support collaborative person‑centered care. The role involves fostering a culture of learning, providing consultation and support to advance practice, maintaining evidence‑based standards of care, and optimizing patient outcomes within interprofessional teams.This position requires periodic travel to facilities within Nova Scotia and access to reliable transportation.About YouBachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Science in Nursing requiredMasters of Nursing, Health or Education preferredActive practicing licence in good standing with Nova Scotia College of Nursing requiredMinimum three years of full‑time clinical experience within the last five years in Emergency nursing requiredCNA Certification or other specialty certification required or willing to completeBLS‑C (HCP) certification requiredRecent experience as a Clinical Nurse Educator or Nursing Instructor preferredPrevious experience in education support, onboarding new staff, and transition to practice an assetAdult Education Program an asset or willing to completePrevious teaching experience involving design, implementation and evaluation of traditional & non‑traditional methods of instruction preferredRecent professional development relevant to maintaining currency in clinical practice & educationEvidence of adult education theory & application and leadership development and/or experience in the last yearDemonstrated initiative, effective interpersonal, communication skills & innovative problem solvingSkilled in the facilitation of concept‑based learning, collaborative learning & practice developmentComputer skills including Microsoft Suite & documentation systemsPhysical demands – setting up rooms, walking and standing, movement of educational resources/tools across sitesHoursPermanent Full‑time; 75 hours bi‑weeklyCompensation and Benefits$50.80 – $60.63 hourly ($99,059 – $118,220 annually). With 25 years’ nursing experience, $62.74 hourly ($122,357 annually).
