Senior Equalization/ 13-Month Adjustment Analyst Position

We are seeking a skilled Senior Equalization/ 13-Month Adjustment Analyst to report directly to the Chief Financial Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately calculating and reviewing both company-operated and third-party operated 13-month throughput adjustments.

This is a permanent position located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

The Key Responsibilities
  1. To manage and complete annual 13th month throughput adjustments for all operated facilities, as well as review and approve third-party 13th month calculations for non-operated facilities.
  2. To complete financial entries in Qbyte FM associated with 13th month adjustments.
  3. To develop a working knowledge of the company's commercial and joint venture contracts.
  4. To assist in the development of the annual operating budget for all operated facilities.
  5. To analyze facility fee revenue and operating costs to support joint venture, financial accounting, engineering, and operations.
  6. To liaise across all departments and handle inquiries related to 13th Month adjustments.
  7. To identify areas of improvement, document potential efficiencies, and participate in process improvement opportunities.
The Ideal Candidate
  1. A minimum of 7 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, specifically focused on 13-month throughput adjustments.
  2. Prior production accounting and/or Joint Venture experience is an asset.
  3. A Bachelor of Commerce degree or other relevant post-secondary education is preferred.
  4. Excellent interpersonal communication, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
  5. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel.
  6. In-depth knowledge of IFSQbyte (Qbyte Metrix Prod, Optix & Qbyte Financial Management), GeoScout, CGI Landman, Petrinex, and EnergyLink systems.
