POSITION SUMMARY

Accountable for completion of design tasks, Bill of Material releases and projects from concept to implementation in production. This will include all related design activities, calculations, communications, drawings, and bill of material.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  1. Completes design tasks and project assignments which support production activities.
  2. Creates designs that meet customer specifications, Technical Summaries, and other contract documents and ensures designs are within manufacturing abilities.
  3. Ensures compliance with design criteria and all applicable regulations.
  4. Completes or initiates-controlled testing of components and installations to meet contractual obligations, ensure product reliability and verify component fit.
  5. Completes technical drawings and release documents under Engineering procedures and ENAs (Notices of Action).
  6. Provide engineering support to Production, Quality Assurance, Customer Service Support, and other departments as required.
  7. Interacts with vendors and customers on design-related issues. Ensures that, where applicable, there are documents of vendor approval on new installations or applications.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  1. Junior – College Grad (1-5 yrs. experience) / Intermediate - College Grad (5-10 years experience) registered CTTAM / Senior – College Grad (minimum of 10+ years experience) registered w/CTTAM.
  2. Manufacturing & Assembly is an asset.
  3. Strong CAD/Unigraphics Drafting.
  4. Employee social committee organizes numerous events throughout the year, including summer barbecues, holiday festivities, sporting events and tournaments, and much more.
  5. Ongoing employee development through a variety of in-house training initiatives along with tuition subsidies for courses at outside institutions.
