Job Summary:
The Director of Technical Delivery is responsible for the successful delivery of projects to TripSpark Technologies' customers. In this role, you will lead the delivery team, while establishing and following best practices to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, within scope, and with quality. You will be accountable for the successful delivery of our contracts and service agreements and the revenue associated with them. The Professional Services delivery team is tasked with working across the organization and externally to create, monitor and execute plans to deliver solutions and services to our customers, while meeting contractual obligations and achieving business objectives. Your leadership abilities and direction will build the foundation for delivery revenue planning, integral in the forecasting and revenue recognition process. The responsibilities will align with Professional Services' Project Management Office (PMO) and Finance operations in achieving delivery revenue targets.
Reporting to the Director of Technical Delivery will be Deployment Specialists, Senior Deployment Specialists, Team Leads and Managers, all focused on execution and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing technical project delivery, project performance, customer satisfaction, technology adoption, and employee performance and development.
The successful candidate for the Director of Technical Delivery will work alongside leadership from the Project Management Office, Product Management, Customer Care, Product Development, and other function groups to ensure successful project delivery. The Director of Technical Delivery will be measured using project financial and schedule related goals, employee utilization, employee, and customer satisfaction.
The successful candidate is a visionary that craves a detailed view and understanding of operations to drive every aspect of technical project delivery. This individual will be able to deal and negotiate effectively with government and customer agencies, financial officials, and other executives outside the company while being conscious of Modaxo's business, financial, and legal practices and policies.
Job Description:
- Drive best-in-class project execution.
- Manage and build a team of high performing individuals.
- Manage the Demand Response, Fixed Route and Hardware Delivery teams to achieve financial, operational, and customer satisfaction targets and metrics.
- Deliver annual, quarterly, and monthly forecasts and results. Support the preparation of the delivery forecast, report progress to the business, and be accountable to achieving the forecasted results.
- Maintain a culture of continuous improvement resulting in streamlined processes, increased productivity, gained efficiencies, and enhanced value.
- Maintain effective communication with colleagues and staff.
- Accountable for governance of projects (internal and customer facing) to ensure adherence to scope, budget, schedule, and quality delivery; provide visibility to management on project risks, issues, opportunities, and their associated strategies.
- Provide mentorship and coaching for a team of Deployment Specialists and Implementation Leads to be proactive and accountable for their work.
- Lead and support your team through project escalations.
- Implement new process improvement techniques and strategies to maximize team efficiency and customer satisfaction. Ensure that best practices are being documented and adopted by your team.
- Develop a staffing plan designed to support strong yearly growth and ensure the team is optimally allocated to meet project demands.
- Review and provide second-level pricing approvals for sales opportunities in the DR, FR and other product offerings.
- Conduct annual performance reviews; Create and implement professional development plans to improve the skills of your team.
- Work closely with Development to identify and prioritize solutions to meet project and customer requirements as well as improvements to products and delivery tools to improve implementation efficiency.

- Strong leadership, mentorship, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are required.
- A demonstrated ability to lead a team through organizational change management is essential.
- Ability to provide coaching and mentoring to employees and teams in order to achieve the highest potential and desired results.
- A comprehensive understanding of project delivery methodology and scope management is critical.
- Superior command of written English and a proven track record of producing quality documentation is mandatory.
- The ability to effectively manage customers or internal escalations is required.
- Self-motivational drive and the ability to initiate and manage activities independently and in a team environment.
- Be able to perform effectively in a deadline-oriented work environment and to successfully execute many tasks simultaneously.
- Able to travel throughout North America and abroad for important customer and partner meetings, as well as corporate meetings.
Education and Work Experience
- A bachelor's degree in business, planning, engineering, or other technical discipline.
- A minimum of five (5) years' experience in software solution delivery.
- A minimum of two (2) years' experience in people management.
- Preferred experience in a technical role (i.e. technical implementation experience).
- Preferred experience with Modaxo software solutions and business practices.
Travel
- Travel at times may be required up to 50%, however on average travel will typically be lower.
