Junior Property Accountant Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Property Accountant to join our team. This role involves overseeing the financial operations for a portfolio of residential properties, ensuring precise reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective collaboration with internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end accounting processes for a portfolio of residential properties, including preparing financial reports and maintaining accurate records.
  • Ensure monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, are prepared accurately and on time.
  • Process and reconcile payments, expenses, and other financial transactions.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any variances or discrepancies.
  • Partner with property managers to provide financial insights and support operational goals.
  • Prepare and review recovery schedules, journal entries, and related financial adjustments.
  • Assist with year-end financial audits by preparing required documentation and liaising with auditors.
  • Handle updates for resident accounts, including ownership changes and electronic payments.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvements and support special projects as needed.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively in both independent and team-oriented settings.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and other accounting software.
  • Adaptability to new systems and processes.
