Brandt is currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician for our Cambridge Construction & Forestry location. This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of construction and forestry-based equipment and attachments in a shop environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Evaluate the working condition of heavy-duty equipment
  2. Diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair equipment
  3. Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently
  4. Document all machine information and actions taken accurately
  5. Assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely
  6. Utilize computer applications and information systems for maintenance and diagnosis
  7. Locate and order parts using parts catalogues
  8. Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required
Required Skills

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Outstanding knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Proven computer and technical aptitude for diagnostics and calibration work
  • Strong time-management skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
  • Commitment to high-quality customer service

Experience: Must have the ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel.
