Senior ABAP Developer

About the Role We’re seeking an experienced Senior ABAP Developer with strong expertise in S/4HANA, clean core development, and SAP BTP extensions . The ideal candidate is a hands-on technologist passionate about building scalable, performant, and cloud-ready SAP solutions. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and integrate modern SAP applications using RAP, CAP, Fiori/UI5, and BTP services . What You’ll Do Design, develop, and deploy custom ABAP solutions on S/4HANA using clean core principles. Develop RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP) and Core Data Services (CDS Views) for transactional and analytical scenarios. Implement side-by-side extensions on SAP BTP (CAP, Event Mesh, Workflows, Build Apps). Integrate SAP with external systems using CPI/PI-PO, OData, and REST/SOAP APIs. Build or extend Fiori/UI5 applications using SAP Business Application Studio or Web IDE. Collaborate with functional and architecture teams to design scalable, reusable solutions. Participate in code reviews, performance optimization, and automation initiatives. Stay current with SAP’s evolving cloud ecosystem and contribute to innovation across the SAP landscape. What We’re Looking For 7+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development, including ABAP on HANA. Deep expertise in OOPS ABAP, CDS Views, AMDP, RAP, and CAP frameworks. Hands-on experience with Fiori/UI5, OData Services, and SAP Gateway. Working knowledge of SAP BTP services (Event Mesh, CPI, Cloud Connector, Destinations). Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA Clean Core and In-App vs. Side-by-Side extensions. Exposure to Python, JavaScript, or Node.js for automation or BTP app development is a plus. Experience integrating with SuccessFactors, Ariba, or other 3rd-party systems preferred. Strong problem-solving, debugging, and stakeholder communication skills.
