OverviewWe have an exciting opportunity for an Intermediate and/or Senior Field Services Technologist/309A in the GTA. The successful candidate will be accountable to perform Medium Voltage Energy Isolation and Maintenance, ultimately creating superior client experiences through commissioning, repair and maintenance of primary and secondary power equipment.AccountabilitiesService ScopeEquipment upgrades as well as maintenance, testing and commissioning services for commercial, industrial and utilityIR ScanningClient DevelopmentDevelop client relationships through client interface on siteIdentify service opportunities for clients and communicate them to ManagersParticipate in industry eventsJob Preparation & PlanningEnsure all equipment and materials are available for projectsJob ExecutionOn site, hands-on work, as requiredProvide project status updates to ManagerMaintain effective communication with internal and external groups regarding milestone achievements, costs, opportunities, etc.Escalate awareness of issues and concerns on projects within a timely manner to ManagerDevelop site strategy and adjust timelinesEnsure leadership safety excellence is demonstrated onsiteResponsible for site quality and document reviewsFollow-up on deficiency workEnsure work is completed as per required scopeEnsure documentation is completed and compiledMeet and review project execution with ManagerReportingEnsure completion and submission of all documentsComplete technical reviews and generate reportsInvoicingSupport invoicing to ensure inclusion of applicable extras for work performedJob Follow-upEnsure follow-up to clients is completed as requiredProvide feedback to Managers on project execution and employee performance onsiteLeadershipIntegrate junior employees into projects in a safe mannerLead, mentor and develop employeesSafetyEnsure all safety policies are adhered to at all timesParticipate in safety meetingsRequirements3+ years' experience as an Electrical Technologist / Field Technician / Power System Electrician / Electrical EngineerHands-on field experience commissioning, testing or maintaining power delivery equipment, including breakers, switchgear, relays, transformers.Broad knowledge in commercial, industrial and utility environmentsTrade or tech school certification required309A, PSE (Power Systems Electrician) or CET (Certified Engineering Technologist) and NETA certification is an assetProven experience leading engaged and productive project teamsMust have a valid driver’s licenseAbility to self-manage with proven initiative and client focusProficient computer experience in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applicationsStrong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervisionMust be able to work in a dynamic work environmentExcellent time management skills with an attention to detailThe ability to work flexible shifts, which include weekends, evenings and statutory holidaysAbility to travelTeam player with excellent communication skills both written and verbalA positive, “can-do” attitudeSummaryCompany OverviewBacked by over 100 years of combined experience, Sunbelt Solomon offers an unmatched ability to provide comprehensive, configured solutions for utility, industrial, and commercial applications.
