We are looking for an ambitious band 6 radiographer to join our team and work within the radiology department of the Newmarket Community Diagnostic Centre part of West Suffolk Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to provide a high standard of care to all patients.The Community Diagnostic Centre is a new building with state of the art equipment, which giving patients better accessibility to healthcare locally.As a senior Radiographer you will expected to be pivotal in the day to day running of the department as well as supporting the band 5 radiographers in providing a safe and caring environment for our patients and staff.Successful candidates will be expected to rotate through all areas covered by the general radiography team.We are a QSI accredited hospital and as a radiographer working here you would be expected to help maintain this accreditation through participation of audits and departmental quality improvements.Main duties of the jobApplications are invited from suitably qualified radiographers (BSc in radiography or equivalent is essential). You must have the ability to communicate with all grades of staff and all patients groups, seeking advice as required. Along side this you will have excellent verbal and written communications and a patient orientated attitude reflecting the West Suffolk Hospital Trust Values. You will also demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure and concentrate on tasks in a busy environment.
