Job Summary The planning team is looking for a Merchandise Planner to build and maintain a balanced assortment plan to drive financial and product strategies. You will contribute to pre-season strategy and in-season management of all products within your categories. You will leverage data to inform the business and drive sales growth, contributing to Groupe Dynamite's transformation from a traditional brick & mortar retailer to an omni-channel, tech-first fashion disruptor. Main Responsibilities Conduct in-depth analysis on current business to inform future strategy Deliver on KPI results such as sales, gross margin, markdown rates, etc. Own Open-to-Buy (OTB); manage sales, receipt flow and BOP targets Build strategy behind the assortment plan focused on floor-set lifecycles, trends and productivity Lead monthly business reviews and quarterly insights, telling the story behind the numbers and recommending actionable takeaways Own pricing and markdown recommendations strategy Translate the pre-season assortment plan into key item and lifecycle plans Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Merchandising, Allocation, and Regional Product Intelligence to strategize and execute category plans Qualifications Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, or a related field 1-3 years of experience in Planning or Allocation in the retail industry Strong analytical skills and a curious mindset Advanced Excel skills Nice-to-Have / Additional Requirements Experience with US and/or International Planning (nice-to-have) What We Offer A comprehensive compensation package with performance-driven bonuses A group retirement savings program with employer matching Flexible group insurance with personalized coverage Employee discount at Garage and Dynamite Exclusive private sample sales Flexible vacation policy And more GDI has been repeatedly voted one of Montréal’s Top Employers and one of Canada’s Top Employers for Young People.
