Wood is currently recruiting for a Project Engineer student for the 2025 Winter Semester to work in our St. John’s office. p>

In our recruitment and hiring process at Wood Canada Ltd. (Wood Group Canada Inc.), we want to emphasize that we do not employ artificial intelligence or automated systems to screen or select candidates. p>Responsibilities

Supporting the team of Project Engineers with the following:

  1. Planning
  2. Cost
  3. Materials & fabrication monitoring
  4. Project Change Notices (PCN’s)
  5. Variation Order’s (VO’s)
  6. Project Execution Plans (PEP’s)
  7. Writing reports and taking meeting minutes
  8. Filling documents
  9. Sending out meeting invites
Qualifications

As well as other additional administrative and research tasks:

  1. Currently enrolled in a University Engineering co-op program
  2. Excellent verbal and communications skills
  3. Excellent technical writing skills
  4. Offshore and Oil and Gas knowledge is preferred
  5. Team-focused attitude with a commitment to quality
  6. Innovative problem-solving mindset
  7. Strong relationship management and communication skills
  8. Ability to work with minimal supervision and effectively manage multiple and conflicting priorities
  9. Proficient computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook
