Business Analyst

Our client, a leading financial services firm headquartered in Montreal, is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, and translating them into functional specifications to drive technology solutions.
Responsibilities: Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders across various departments. Conduct process mapping, data modeling, and workflow analysis to identify improvement opportunities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and subject matter experts, to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications. Perform gap analysis between current and desired states, and propose process optimization strategies. Participate in the development and implementation of technology solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Facilitate meetings, workshops, and requirements-gathering sessions with stakeholders. Create and maintain detailed documentation, including business requirements documents, process flows, and test cases.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the financial services industry. Proven ability to analyze complex business processes and propose efficient solutions. Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels. Proficient in both English and French (written and spoken). Knowledge of business analysis methodologies and best practices (e.g., BABOK, Agile). Experience with requirements management and modeling tools (e.g., Visio, JIRA, Confluence). Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
