Project Coordinator – IS PMO Office Location: St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton (Charlton Campus, Hamilton Downtown) Position Details Posting #: 32287 Department: DS – Project Management Office Employee Type: Temporary, Full Time (52 weeks) Union: Non-Union Openings Remaining: 1 Schedule: Monday to Friday, Days, 7.5‑hour shift; shift start subject to change based on operational requirements Site: Charlton Campus (Hamilton Downtown) Application Dates: Opening: 11/09/2025; Closing: 18/09/2025 (Open until filled) Position Description The Project Coordinator is a member of the Project Management Office (PMO) team. This position aids in the planning, organizing, and integration of cross‑functional information technology projects to deliver specific measured results. The role supports multiple projects within the PMO, assisting project managers through the IT project lifecycle. Responsibilities include providing administrative support for the development and management of project charters, business cases, budgets, work plans, communication plans, issue logs, and risk processes. The coordinator works alongside Project Managers to support cross‑functional teams, vendors, and contractors in completing program and/or project‑related tasks and assists in the creation and maintenance of project‑related documentation. Qualifications Successful completion of a community college diploma in a related field such as business, statistics, IT, or project management. Minimum of 2 years working as a project coordinator or project assistant (preferred). Excellent computer skills; highly proficient with MS Office applications, including Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio. Basic understanding of project management principles related to work plans, budgets, and staffing. Experience with Hospital Information System, Laboratory Information System, Radiology Information System, PACS, Pharmacy Information System, Medication Administration, CPOE, Orders Results Management Server, network, PC, and communication systems is an asset. Working knowledge of SharePoint. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact and collaborate with Program Manager, IT Project Managers, IT Management, and IT Staff. Good time management and organizational skills.
