Our clients Reporting as well as Governance Streams in the Collateral Management Team have seen an uptick in work as well as OT charged by FTE Associates so their may be a role coming up within the next couple of weeks.

Daily Responsibilities: Monitor collateral levels to ensure they meet regulatory requirements and internal policies. This involves tracking collateral movements, valuations, and margin calls Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reports on collateral positions, margin utilization, counterparty exposure, and risk metrics. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting to support decision-making and regulatory compliance Manage margin calls by initiating and processing collateral transfers to cover exposures. Ensure timely settlement of collateral transactions with counterparties Assess and mitigate counterparty credit risk by analyzing collateral adequacy and evaluating counterparties' creditworthiness Monitor collateral and counterparty risk metrics, such as exposure limits, concentration risk, and collateral haircuts. Raise alerts and escalate issues to senior management as needed Prepare daily reports on collateral positions, margin utilization, and risk metrics. Conduct data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement Collect, validate, and reconcile data related to collateral transactions, margin calls, and collateral valuations. Maintain data integrity and ensure consistency across reporting systems Stay updated with regulatory requirements related to collateral management, such as margin rules (e.g., UMR, EMIR) and reporting obligations Assist in implementing and maintaining governance frameworks, policies, and procedures related to collateral management. Participate in control testing, audits, and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies Utilize collateral management systems and tools effectively to support daily operations, data analysis, and reporting requirements.

Must Haves: Prior experience or knowledge of collateral management processes, margining, collateral optimization, and risk management within a financial institution, preferably in the context of capital markets Strong understanding of financial products and instruments, particularly collateral types such as cash, securities, and derivatives. Knowledge of valuation methodologies, margin calculations, and regulatory requirements related to collateral management Proficiency in data analysis, financial modeling, and quantitative techniques. Ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and generate meaningful insights to support decision-making in collateral management Familiarity with financial systems and tools such as Bloomberg, Reuters, Excel/VBA, SQL, and collateral management platforms. Ability to work with large datasets, conduct reconciliations, and automate processes Understanding of regulatory frameworks impacting collateral management in capital markets, including margin rules (e.g., UMR, EMIR), Basel III, Dodd-Frank, and other relevant regulations. Awareness of regulatory reporting requirements and compliance obligations Ability to assess counterparty credit risk, collateral adequacy, exposure limits, collateral haircuts, and concentration risk. Experience in monitoring and mitigating risks associated with collateral management activities
