Battery Sorter

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Battery sorter is responsible for sorting batteries to the proper destinations, data entry and forklift movements.

1. Sorting mixed batteries on a production conveyor
2. Transport raw materials, scrap and recyclable materials throughout plant using a forklift
3. Data entry using Microsoft Excel and Greentrax
4. Clean work areas and equipment
5. Perform other duties as assigned by management

• Completion of secondary school
• Experience in a related production line occupation or as a warehouse worker Forklift and/or Overhead crane experience an asset
• OHSA Rights and Responsibilities, WHMIS training
• Physical strength is required for manual material handling materials
• Long standing, walking and some minimal climbing of ladders and stairs
• Wearing and maintenance of required PPE including respirator mask
