You will work with EPCOR’s Electricity Services leadership, providing comprehensive financial support to enable informed strategic decisions. The role includes accurate and timely analysis of operational revenues and expenses, regulatory reporting, and preparation of annual external financial statements. This position may qualify for EPCOR’s hybrid work program. Responsibilities Produce accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and year‑end corporate reporting, ensuring all deadlines are met. Support leadership decision‑making by guiding and explaining variances to budget for revenues and expenses. Prepare annual external financial statements and accompanying note disclosures. Liaise with external and internal auditors during the year‑end audit, coordinating required working papers and ensuring accurate reporting. Support budgeting, forecasting, and regulatory filings for Electricity Operations budgets. Analyze data to add value to business areas, facilitating strategic decision‑making. Contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives. Assist with special projects, such as software system upgrades or replacements. Research and develop recommendations on moderately complex IFRS accounting policies. Collaborate with cross‑functional groups to develop and implement regulatory reporting processes, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. Qualifications Post‑secondary degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting from a recognized institution. 4–6 years of progressively responsible professional accounting experience. Experience with: Preparing IFRS compliant financial statements and supporting audit documentation. Liaising with external and internal auditors. Supporting accounting software upgrades or replacements. Leading a month‑end close process. Knowledge of the electricity industry and regulatory environment (asset). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Workday Adaptive Planning, OfficeConnect, and Oracle BI for financial analysis and reporting. Ability to apply accounting standards knowledge to research and recommend solutions for moderately complex accounting policies. Public practice experience (asset). Basic understanding of Oracle GL systems (asset). Candidate Profile You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to clearly present information to diverse audiences, strong analytical and organizational abilities, and a history of improving process efficiencies and solving problems. Additional Information Jurisdiction: CSU52 Class: P2 Wage: Starting at $50.95 per hour (final wage and step determined at selection). Hours of work: 75 hours biweekly Employees are required to use their @epcor.com email address.
