Senior Relationship Manager, Agricultural Services Work Location: Stratford, Ontario, Canada Hours: 37.5 hours per week Line Of Business: Personal & Commercial Banking Pay Details: $103,400 - $155,000 CAD Job Description: The Senior Relationship Manager is accountable for delivering a superior customer experience while driving profitable business growth in line with business strategy. This role builds new relationships and deepens existing customer relationships for both credit and non-credit products/services. The Senior Relationship Manager will develop a shadow portfolio of target businesses commensurate with the market and their existing portfolio and work closely with internal and external subject matter experts and lending advisory groups. Responsibilities Lead all aspects of relationship management for an assigned portfolio. Act as a trusted advisor, meeting customer needs with creative products and solutions. Use sales platforms to understand customer/target needs, industries, and markets. Analyze customer financing, cash management, and overall business needs to add value. Build deep expert knowledge of market, customers, and broader economic factors. Respond to changes in the business environment and develop action plans. Identify referral opportunities to internal Bank partners that meet customer needs. Enhance business networking events. Shareholder Initiatives Apply sales methodology to build new relationships and deepen existing ones. Promote full suite of products and services. Meet or exceed business targets. Assess credit requests, determine risk, and recommend credit structures. Contribute high-quality credit applications with due diligence. Oversee account management to ensure monitoring and guideline compliance. Renew credits timely, meeting targets for expired credits. Mitigate risk and protect organization interests, escalating non-standard transactions. Ensure compliance with regulatory and operational risk requirements. Stay current on emerging regulatory issues and assess impacts. Provide productive relationships with external partners for new business opportunities. Team and Employee Development Provide thought leadership and industry knowledge, sharing insights within the team. Stay updated on emerging trends and grow knowledge of business tools. Participate in performance management and development activities. Keep others informed about project status and day‑to‑day activities. Mentor peers by sharing knowledge and best practices. Lead, motivate, and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Contribute to a fair, positive, and equitable environment supporting diversity. Act as a brand ambassador for the business area and bank. Breadth & Depth Senior-level expertise in origination of new customer business for Commercial Large Business and Junior Corporate segments. Manage a portfolio with high complexity and credit requirements. Interpret and analyze customer financial statements with deep credit acumen. Identify cross‑business line referral opportunities. Anticipate emerging customer trends to recommend products and services. Solve complex problems impacting the business segment and financials. Own sophisticated understanding of customer needs and competitor offerings. Work autonomously, coaching and guiding team members. Execute complex account management processes and structured solutions. Provide market intelligence for strategic decision‑making. Communicate complex ideas, anticipate objections, and negotiate terms. Report primarily to the Unit Leader. Experience & Education Undergraduate/Graduate degree and/or 10+ years of relevant experience.
