Responsibilities

Loading and Unloading: Drivers are responsible for safely loading furniture and appliances onto their delivery vehicle and unloading them at the customer's location. This involves using appropriate equipment and techniques to prevent damage to the products.

Transportation: Safely transporting the furniture and appliances to the designated delivery locations, which may include residences, businesses, or retail stores. Drivers must adhere to traffic laws and drive defensively to ensure the safety of themselves and others on the road.

Route Planning: Planning efficient delivery routes to minimize travel time and optimize the number of deliveries in a given day. This requires knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns.

Customer Interaction: Providing excellent customer service by being polite, professional, and helpful when interacting with customers. This includes answering questions, addressing concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction with the delivered items.

Assembly and Installation: Some deliveries may involve assembling furniture or installing appliances at the customer's request. In such cases, drivers must have the necessary tools and skills to complete these tasks correctly.

Documentation: Keeping accurate records of deliveries, including obtaining signatures or proof of delivery from customers. Drivers may also need to document any damage or issues with the products and report them to the company.

Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspecting and maintaining the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. This includes checking tires, brakes, lights, and performing routine maintenance tasks.

Safety: Adhering to safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries during deliveries. This includes properly securing loads and using safety equipment as necessary.

Communication: Maintaining clear communication with the dispatch team and the company's headquarters to provide updates on delivery progress, delays, or any issues that may arise during the delivery process.

Problem Solving: Handling unexpected challenges or issues that may arise, such as navigating through tight spaces, resolving customer disputes, or addressing delivery delays.

Product Knowledge: Having a basic understanding of the furniture and appliances being delivered, including their features and functionality, in order to assist customers with questions or basic setup.

Compliance: Complying with all relevant regulations and laws, including those related to driving, vehicle safety, and the handling of hazardous materials (if applicable).

Time Management: Managing time efficiently to ensure on-time deliveries and minimize wait times for customers.
