Roofer position at B Serra and Sons Roofing Inc. (Construction) Location Etobicoke, ON M8W 3S1 – On site Employment Type Permanent – Full time 30 to 40 hours per week Shifts: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend Salary $32.00 to $34.00 per hour (to be negotiated) Responsibilities Install built‑up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts, hot asphalt, and gravel. Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles, shakes, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs. Install roofing tiles on sloped roofs. Install single‑ply roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials (modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions). Repair or replace shingles and shakes on sloped roofs. Repair or replace single‑ply roofing systems. Repair roofing systems. Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level. Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools. Install sheet metal flashings. Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms. Qualifications Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in roofing or related trade. Work site environment: At heights, noisy, dusty, outdoors. Work setting: Various locations (commercial, industrial, residential). Work Conditions & Physical Capabilities Fast‑paced environment. Physically demanding: bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads. Hand‑eye coordination. Large workload, repetitive tasks, work under pressure. Personal Suitability Dependability.
