Follow all applicable DOT rules and regulations and hours of service. Also the ability to haul over dimensional heavy loads would be an asset.ResponsibilitiesKnowledge of tools and parts required on the unit for inventory and maintenance purposesKnow where the sight glasses, check points and fill points are including grease pointsComplete understanding of Air Can proceduresFall protection requirement including pre-use inspection, proper fit and use of the fall arrest harness and equipmentCompletion of loading ticketsLoading the unit adhering to allowable weights per axleTrain and mentor less experienced co-workers as requiredPerform pre and post trip inspections on equipment operated, ensuring safety and roadworthinessAttend pre-job safety meetingsComply with applicable legislation including safe operation, driver’s hours of service, occupational health and safety, transportation of dangerous goods, fatigue managementManeuver equipment following appropriate hand signalsMaintain driver logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair statusMaintain effective communication with co-workersQualifications & SkillsKnowledge of industry and prior experience an assetAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionKnowledge of truck and equipment safetyKnowledge of equipment maintenanceStrong oral and written communication abilitiesHigh level of personal integrityStrong work ethic14 days on followed by 7 days off (14/7) rotation scheduleValid Class 1 driver license with satisfactory driving abstractLocation: Operations Base, Red Deer, ABSchedule: 14 days on, 7 days offSalary: to be determinedStart date: to be determinedElement Technical Services thanks all those who apply to the position and for their continued interest in seeking employment with our company, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.Essential provides oilfield services to oil and natural gas producers, primarily in western Canada.
