Treasury Specialist

The Opportunity: Reporting to the Senior Treasury Manager, the Treasury Specialist will support daily banking, risk management, and forecasting activities. Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life: Administer banking activities across all operating units Help develop consolidated cashflow forecasts Support treasury reporting, including variance analysis and cash positioning Manage debt financing requirements, related schedules, and interest forecasts Prepare and post periodic journal entries for banking activities Help prepare the annual budget and periodic forecasts with a focus on cash flow and balance sheet Complete monthly bank reconciliations Assist with quarterly compliance requirements Support risk management-related projects Prepare treasury reports for senior management Manage and analyze the company’s lease portfolio and maintain lease schedules Who you are: You have a high attention to detail and strong organizational skills You are a team player, with solid communication and relationship building skills You are adaptable and responsive in a changing environment You thrive in fast-paced settings and can quickly add value in the short term What You’ll Bring: Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Finance or Accounting 5 years of relevant experience An understanding of accounting principles Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills Having a professional designation (CPA / CTP) is an asset What We Offer at Maple Leaf Foods: Being part of a high-performance, people-focused company that has an inspiring and unique vision to become the most sustainable protein company on earth, and a deep commitment to sustainable protein across North America.
