We create solutions while considering the impacts to public health, the environment and society.The RoleKGS Group is currently seeking a Municipal Engineer (or Engineer in training) in our Winnipeg office. In the position you will be responsible for design and construction support on projects for a variety of clients including major urban centers, municipalities, First Nations, provincial agencies, federal organizations and private industry.You will support the design, coordination and delivery of a wide range of municipal infrastructure projects including servicing & land development, flood protection, water treatment & distribution, stormwater management, wastewater collection & treatment, recreational & waterfront facilities. Your projects will be diverse in size, complexity and location with many providing the opportunity to develop innovative, practical solutions to solve complex challenges. You will work in a collaborative environment with extensive support from our planning, design and construction staff throughout our multi-disciplinary firm.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with designs, drawings and specifications for a variety of infrastructure projectsProvide on-site construction support and inspection of active projectsAssist with associated reports, studies and contract documentsAssist with proposals and expressions of interestParticipate in multi-disciplinary teams from initial conceptualization through to final completionCommunicate with clients, contractors, utilities, agencies and stakeholdersSupport contract administration of construction assignmentsParticipate in and promote KGS Group’s safety-first cultureAbout YouSome highlights could include, but are not limited to:Bachelor’s Degree in Civil EngineeringEng or E.I.T. designationExperience supporting the planning, design and implementation of various municipal infrastructure ProjectsStrong written and verbal communication skillsFamiliarity with AutoCAD software including Civil 3DFamiliarity with other engineering software considered an asset (examples include InfoWorks, SWMM, WaterCAD)Familiarity with relevant municipal guidance documentsWhat we offer?Competitive compensation packageComprehensive benefits starting from your first dayProfessional development and mentorship opportunitiesConvenient free parkingKGS Group is an employee-owned equal opportunity company offering an excellent compensation and benefits package.
