We're hiring an Accounting/Compliance Senior Manager to lead and support our clients in a fully remote capacity. As a dynamic leader and self-starter, you will take full ownership of your client portfolio, driving exceptional results and ensuring the highest standards of service. You should be proficient with modern communication and task-management tools so that we can all collaborate effectively.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Manage a portfolio of clients while understanding their business, key risks, and ways to deliver added value.
  2. Lead client-facing interactions to complete and review compilations and tax engagements.
  3. Accountable for engagement planning, scheduling, and project financials (i.e., budgets, WIPS, timely billing, collection, variance recognition).
  4. Contribute to strategic and operational planning related to client and practice management.
Duties & Functions:
  1. Work directly with clients and the internal team to advise on accounting and compliance strategies.
  2. Preparation and review of compilations and tax engagements.
  3. Preparation and review of personal income tax returns.
  4. Preparation and review of limited partnership returns.
  5. Preparation and review of trust returns.
  6. General management of deadlines and day-to-day planning of workflow.
  7. Preparation of reports and memos related to the services.
  8. Communicate with clients and government agencies.
  9. Train and mentor team members, enhancing their skills and ensuring continuous professional development.
  10. Manage and oversee the performance of the team, providing guidance and feedback to ensure high-quality work and efficient operations.
Qualifications:
  1. 7+ years of relevant public accounting experience.
  2. Extensive understanding of business, accounting, and management.
  3. Superior verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to clearly explain complex tax and business issues to clients.
  4. Strong strategic planning and conceptual thinking skills.
  5. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic team-oriented environment.
  6. Ability to fluently speak, read, and write in French is preferred.
  7. Knowledge of CaseWare, Taxprep, and QuickBooks Online.
