Base pay range $110,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from Morson Edge (Canada) We're partnering with a leading aerospace manufacturer in Sidney, BC, seeking an experienced Material & Logistics Manager to join their Supply Chain leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands‑on leader who excels in fast‑paced environments and thrives on driving operational excellence. About the Role As the Material & Logistics Manager, you will oversee all material, logistics, and warehouse functions—ensuring safety, accuracy, and efficient flow of goods throughout the facility. You will lead and coach a team, build strong processes, and ensure the right parts get to the right place at the right time. If you’re passionate about lean operations, continuous improvement, and developing high‑performing teams, this role is for you. Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor all Material & Logistics personnel, reinforcing a strong safety‑first culture. Oversee hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and payroll activities for the team. Manage receiving, stocking, picking, issuing, dispatching, and shipping functions with a customer‑focused mindset. Report on operational KPIs and drive action through weekly performance reviews. Ensure all incoming and outgoing materials align with quality standards and company procedures. Lead cycle counting, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions to maintain inventory accuracy. Optimize material flow and support improvements in lead times, lot sizes, and inventory levels. Maintain control over freight and crating expenses within budget. Support production through efficient part transfers and availability. Education & Experience 5+ years’ experience in supply chain, procurement, warehouse management, or logistics. Post‑secondary education in Business, Supply Chain, Commerce, or related field (degree preferred). APICS certifications (CPIM, CSCP, CLTD) considered strong assets. Experience with Lean, ISO9000, and continuous improvement methodologies. Leadership experience with proven team‑building abilities. ERP experience (IFS, Visual, SAP, JDE, or similar). Aerospace or manufacturing industry experience is an asset. Skills & Attributes Strong customer focus with a results‑driven attitude. Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel essential). Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, technical environment. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, and perform standard material‑handling oversight tasks. Strong visual, verbal, and auditory capabilities.
