Reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing and Proposals—Buildings East, the Technical Writer will support the Buildings Division’s proposal team by working with subject matter experts to gain a deep understanding of approaches, products, and services to write simplified, engaging content. p>
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Research and write informative and engaging content on various construction-related topics, such as project management, safety, materials, equipment, and regulations.
- Produce high-quality, simplified written content that meets the needs of the target audience, including proposals, print and digital brochures, and case studies.
- Edit and proofread content for accuracy, grammar, and style.
- Provide writing guidance and constructive feedback.
- Work with proposal lead to draft tailored content.
- Manage technical content.
- Develop and maintain a content repository.
Qualifications:
- Postsecondary degree or diploma in journalism, marketing, communications, or construction (or equivalent).
- 3+ years of experience in writing for the construction industry.
- Proven ability to write clear, concise, and engaging content.
- Experience using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop is an asset.
