What You’ll Be Doing

As a member of CIBC’s End Point Compute team, you will play a crucial role in planning, designing, building, and supporting the configuration and automated deployment of Windows operating systems for endpoints . 

You will implement and support the deployment and configuration of end user devices across the organization . Your main responsibilities will include develop ing and automat ing end point provision ing solutions us ing traditional and modern techniques , as well as provid ing key technical 3rd level Windows support in day-to-day operations.

As part of the new hardware integration process y ou will procur e drivers, creat e packages , perform benchmarking and validate the functionality of OS components and peripherals .

You will provide technical leadership, standards and best practices during design, build, implementation, and maintenance phases of initiatives/projects.

How You’ll Succeed

• Understanding Requirements – Track and analyze operating environment for specified services and implement corrective actions as needed. Work with clients and internal partners to determine , negotiate, and manage services to the agreed standards. Monitor service levels to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend appropriate solutions .

• People Leadership – Lead and coach a high performing group team of individuals. Direct, motivate, and develop your team, maximizing their contributions and professional growth. Share knowledge and collaborate to come up with effective solutions to problems.

• Relationship Management – Work closely with clients and business partners to develop, test, and implement application program . Impact and improve the business by advising application owners on the technology possibilities and requirements.

Who You Are

You can demonstrate knowledge and experience in: 

• Planning, e ngineering and automating endpoint technology solutions (Expert) .

• Modern device p rovisioning through I n t une and Autopilot (Expert) .

• U ser driven deployment (Expert) .

• Creating automation to d eploy operating systems via Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (ME C M) to an enterprise environment (Expert) .

• MECM collections, packages, applications, drivers, task sequences , images, and boot media (Expert) .

• Windows OS hardware support integration including drivers, firmware upgrades, and configuration of BIOS (Expert) .

• L evel 3 Support and t roubleshooting of ME C M deployment failures, task sequence problems, Operating System Deployment ( OSD ) error s and ME C M component errors (Expert) .

• Scripting in both PowerShell and VBScript (Expert) .

• Technical d ocumentation (Ex pert).

• Windows Administration and support of Windows O perating S ystems (OS) issues, applications, compatibility issues, and debugging system crashes (Strong Knowledge) .

• Intune policies including device configuration, device compliance, application configuration , and application protection (Working Knowledge) .

• Windows security fundamentals (Working Knowledge) .

• Windows OS feature update cadence ( Working Knowledge ) .

• Azure Services including Active Directory, Dynamic Groups and Dev-Ops (Working Knowledge) .

• Experience in Conditional Access is an asset.

• Adaptiva Peer to Peer content delivery mechanism is an asset.

• V irtual desktop environments including Hyper-V, VMware, Citrix is an asset .

• Group Policy Objects and Group Policy Preferences is an asset. Designing and implementing s trategic and forward-thinking solutions.
