Job Title: Store Manager

Job Summary:

InspiredHR is working with a client to find an experienced and driven Store Manager to lead the retail operations, ensuring its success as a high-performing hub for sales and customer satisfaction. The Store Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the store's performance, including operational excellence, financial management, and team leadership. This role is pivotal in driving the store's results, ensuring adherence to company standards, and fostering a customer-centric environment.

As the key leader of the store, the Store Manager will manage and inspire a diverse team, establish daily goals, and execute strategies to achieve sales and operational targets. While the role is primarily focused on operations within the store, the Store Manager will also collaborate with the sales team to support key accounts, attend sales calls, and provide expertise on large orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the entire store team, ensuring alignment with company goals and values.
  • Conduct daily team huddles, set clear objectives, and monitor team performance to drive results.
  • Assign customer accounts to sales managers and provide guidance to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Own the store's performance, including P&L management, inventory oversight, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure strict adherence to company's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistency and high standards.
  • Monitor employee schedules, productivity, and performance to ensure optimal operations.
  • Support the sales team by assisting with large quotes, complex orders, and key customer accounts.
  • Attend sales calls regularly to ensure the company brand is represented with professionalism and expertise.
  • Act as a mentor and resource for the sales team, fostering their development and success.
  • Identify and address operational challenges proactively, escalating issues to the Director of Operations or National Sales Manager when necessary.
  • Provide timely and clear communication about challenges and opportunities to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably in operations, sales, or retail management.
  • Experience working in flooring or construction industry.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L and driving performance to exceed targets.
  • Exceptional team-building and motivational skills with the ability to inspire and lead a diverse team.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with a track record of managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with customers and team members at all levels.
  • Experience with sales or customer service, with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences.
  • Proficiency in CRM and inventory management systems is preferred.
