Audit Partner

OverviewRSM Canada is seeking an experienced Audit Partner to join the Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) practice. Our TMT team serves public and private clients, including growth‑oriented, private equity and venture‑backed technology companies. Sectors include enterprise software, software as a service, e‑commerce, electronics and hardware manufacturers, semiconductors, social media, digital media, mobile technology, telecommunications, and more.ResponsibilitiesServe as TMT engagement leader and/or client service coordinator, managing the auditing of all required financial statements, related disclosures, and other client deliverablesManage multiple engagements, oversee engagement status and ensure milestones are met for all projectsIdentify technical accounting matters early and assess impact on financial statements; coordinate with firm specialists as neededReview work product and communicate audit status to clients periodically; assess resources needed for project completionMaintain contact with clients throughout the year to develop deeper relationships and understand client goals and strategiesManage profitability of projects and evaluate strategy for growth of the FirmAssess risk and design and communicate audit procedures to engagement teamsUnderstand RSM’s lines of business, discuss applicable services with clients, and identify opportunities to introduce other servicesDevelop strategies to utilize external relationships and Centers of Influence to support business growthProvide insightful business advice and present yourself as a trusted business advisorUnderstand team members\' skillsets, monitor and review their work, and provide coaching notesDevelop others within the Firm through facilitating training and advising on career development or participating in Firm initiativesAnticipate and address client concerns and escalate issues as they ariseSupport professional development through ongoing educationRequired QualificationsBS/BA Degree in Accounting or equivalentCPA Certification10+ years of current or recent experience in a public accounting environment5+ years of experience auditing technology, media or telecommunications companiesA proven record of building profitable, sustainable client relationshipsA successful record of directing and deploying team members on multiple engagementsUnderstanding of audit services with knowledge of GAAP, GAAS and FASB regulationsBenefits and RewardsAt RSM, we offer a competitive benefits and compensation package for all our people.
