Manufacturing Engineer

This role involves identifying, analyzing, and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness, collaborating with cross-functional teams to support strategic goals.ResponsibilitiesWork directly with all teams on improvement projects, lead Kaizen events, increase employee engagement and continuous improvement.Leverage a range of improvement techniques to develop and implement solutions for complex issues and operational/financial objectives.Develop and improve data tools to support ongoing efforts to identify and control yield, labour productivity, cost, and uptime.Apply analytical skills to interpret data trends and drive improvements in operational and financial targets.Perform process analysis to identify areas for improvement using data analysis and process mapping techniques.Lead and manage continuous improvement projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.Collaborate with departments to understand needs, facilitate workshops, and brainstorm solutions.Develop and implement solutions to streamline operations, reduce waste, and improve quality and productivity.Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor effectiveness of changes and adjust as necessary.Provide training and support to staff on new processes and systems to ensure successful adoption and sustainability.Prepare and present reports on project progress, outcomes, and benefits to stakeholders and management.Your Skills And ExpertiseMinimum qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution (completed and verified prior to start).Three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment, process improvement, and project management in various sectors.Additional qualifications and competencies that could help you succeed:Master’s degree in Engineering.Practical experience with implementation and sustaining CI programs.Engineering focus in TPM, Operational Excellence, DMAIC, and Lean tools.Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and make decisions.Strong computer skills – Microsoft Suite and Minitab.Six Sigma Green Belt certified; Black Belt a plus.Detail-oriented with an emphasis on accuracy in analysis and implementation.Innovative thinking and ability to propose creative solutions.Team player with the ability to work cross-functionally.Work LocationBrockville, CanadaTravelMay include up to 10% domestic/international travel.RelocationNot offered.What We OfferComprehensive Benefit Plan, RRSP plan, Stock Purchase Plan, Incentive Plan, and Defined Contribution Pension Plan.Paid time off over the winter holidays.Health & Wellness subsidies.Individual Development Plan and Tuition Reimbursement Program.Equal Opportunity3M Canada welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
