OverviewSouth Country Co-op is currently hiring a Pharmacist to join our team at the Northlands Pharmacy location in Medicine Hat, AB.What You’ll DoReporting to the Pharmacy Manager, the Pharmacist is responsible for assisting the Pharmacy Manager with the overall operations of the Pharmacy department. Responsibilities include delivering world-class customer service, ordering and stocking pharmaceuticals, filling patient prescriptions, and providing information to customers. Our Pharmacists provide patient-focused care, including clinical services, counselling and professional advice on prescriptions and OTC products, and administering injections and immunizations.Obtain, interpret, and evaluate all prescriptions to ensure therapeutic appropriateness, cost-effectiveness, accuracy and completeness.Develop and maintain strong working relationships with health care professionals in the community to ensure optimal patient care.Supervise Pharmacy Assistants and Technicians.Oversee all dispensing duties carried out by a Pharmacy Assistant to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of all prescription dispensed.Ensure all medication dispensing processes are accurate and appropriately managed.Why It MattersOur team provides a range of products and services to support our member-owners.
